I tend to dream of the things I want to do with my life or the doors that could open if I truly lived to my full potential. Not in a boastful manner but more in the sense of knowing my worth. So often we underestimate ourselves, I know for a fact I do but this time round I am willing to to take a leap of faith, step into the unknown and begin my own blog.
I have always enjoyed writing from the time I was a kid and still today I find great solace when I put pen to paper. It allows me to be real, no games or gimmicks, no sugarcoating but say how I really feel about certain things in my life without fear of what others will think or say of me. Although in this day, age and society we live in, “being real” is more a slogan than a trait.
2017 doesn’t have to just be another year. How about if this year you actually put yourself first, took those hopes and dreams off the shelf and worked towards achieving that goal that you’ve placed under the “one day” category.
I’d be more than stoked if even one person chooses to click on Sera Situations to see what I have to offer but I will never understand the extent of my influence if I do nothing to test the waters. When I first started really thinking about doing this I had a thought “Only God knows the eyes that will glare at these words, the lives that will be challenged and/or touched” and for now, that’s enough to keep me motivated.
So here is my first post, I am the new chick on the blog and I cannot wait to see how little or long I last in this.
